TRACE
Trace is inspired by an evening spent analysing the crowds at London’s famous Borough Market from 1pm to its closing hour at 5pm. From this evening, I was inspired by how the chaos of the lunch rush hour would create “anti-desire” paths, where the push and pull of the crowd would send you on a specific path through the market you may have never tried out otherwise.
Over 14 more visits, I photographed the market throughout different times of the day. I printed them, prepped them as collage pieces and then scanned them digitally to utilise them to create a mixed media 3D environment to animate in.
